The Porsche 356, the first series-produced Porsche, received a successor in 1963. This successor is presented as the Porsche 901 but would eventually go through life as a Porsche 911. The Porsche 911 was named 'widowmaker' because of its unpredictable handling. This was caused by the engine hanging behind the suspension, which makes the nose lighter when accelerating and the front wheels no longer get a grip.
