Minichamps releases a car model of all Formula 1 world champions. This will not become the Max Verstappen scale model for this year. The Formula 1 season is already halfway and with 6 races to go, the last phase of the racing season has started. It had already become clear to Max Verstappen at the beginning of the season that the Ferrari and Mercedes cars were faster. The gap with these two top teams has now narrowed, but Ferrari and Mercedes are also continuing to make improvements. The improvements at Red Bull are mainly focused on the engine. Engine supplier Renault has made a new engine update that can save 0.3 seconds per lap of time. Renault itself is not completely convinced that this engine will make the difference. The engine would leave something to be desired in terms of reliability. This did not prevent the management of the Red Bull Racing team from using the engine anyway. The new engine was used at the Italian Grand Prix and Max Verstappen took fifth place. All in all, a first world title in Formula 1 for Max Verstappen is still a long way off.

The new engine supplier Honda will be able to change that from the 2019 season. At the moment Max Verstappen can look back on a third place in the grand prix of Cananda, third place in the grand prix of Belgium and a very nice victory in the grand prix of Austria and of course second place in the grand prix of Singapore.
