The history of Minichamps miniature car models goes back to 1921. In that year the trading house Danhausen was founded. A multitude of products were sold such as bicycles and motor scooters. Later the focus shifted to toys and the company passed into the hands of the grandsons Hans Peter and Paul Gunter Lang. From that moment on, scale models were sold both from the store and by mail order. These were mainly 1:43 scale models. They also published the famous Danhausen World Model Car Book annually from 1971 to 1993. The latter catalog comprised no fewer than 350 pages and 15,000 different scale models. At the end of the 1980s, Paul continued with the company on his own and was renamed Minichamps in 1996.
Red Bull took over the Jaguar Formula 1 team in 2005 and from that year Red Bull started numbering the Formula 1 cars.
